Forgive and Forget

by: Shawna LaDelpha (Diamond)

Far away I feel the pain
Of a lost friend I barely know.
Tears of sorrow run down my face
Of a life I have truly destroyed.
A bunch of words may never help.
Scornful tears are what I own.
A life of teasing laughter withheld
With the sore heart that I have broke.
Forgiveness is all I ask,
To let go of the forbidden past.
Three words I long to hear
To help me on my way.
Allow the stream
To continue flowing.
I stand here,
Awaiting it once
To help me move on.
